Preferred Data Solutions

Preferred Data Solutions is owned and operated by Shreveport native Mark Rinaudo. Mark received his BS in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2001. He then went on to work as a System Administrator for a local software company. During his time there, Mark was head of the IT Department and built their data center from the ground up, growing it to over one hundred servers with a fire suppression system, battery backup power, and 5 tons of cooling.

Mark is well versed in setting up and maintaining web servers and server security, implementing disaster recovery, setting up VPN tunnels, employing system back-up, and providing e-mail solutions.

Though Mark specializes in Linux (Debian and Red Hat) operating systems, he is also proficient in Cisco, modular routers, pix firewalls, VPN concentrators, and MS SQL Server among other applications.
